Role

Meaning / to be assigned to

Administrators

Role allowing the creation and maintenance of users, the assignment of roles to users and the resetting of passwords.

ApiUser

Role created to allow external systems to pull information from eCargo. Not to be assigned to individual users.

BackloadOperators

Role providing insight into all active and completed voyages and allowing maintenance of the inbound cargo list.

BoatForemen

Role allowing the loading and discharging of vessels. Typically assigned to foremen and their managers.

Customers

Role created for customers. The applicable customer needs to be assigned to the user in question.

CustomerEdit

Role created for customers. The applicable customer needs to be assigned to the user in question. This role has additional authorisations compared to the Customers role. the lines of completed voyages can be edited. On bulk and deck cargo level only the customs status can be modified, on material details level all fields are editable. This role also allows for attachments to be linked to completed voyage..

DataAdmin

Role allowing some master data elements to be maintained and role is allowed to cancel/delete voyages. Typically assigned to senior members of a team.

Guests

View only role of voyages. To be assigned to users viewing eCargo from external applications.

Inspectors

Role allowing the inspection of cargo items. Typically assigned to inspectors and their managers.

InternalReports

Role allowing the display of internal reports. Role should not be given to customers.

Planners

Role allowing the creation and maintenance of voyages. Typically assigned to a planning department and to Peterson personnel who cover the client’s activities.

Reporting

Role allowing the display of reports.

Search

Role allowing the search and display of completed voyages. Of the voyages the cargo list (history), the attachments, the toolbox talk and lifting plan can be viewed. Role should not be assigned to customers.

Transport

Role allowing the receipt and dispatch of cargo items at the quayside. Typically assigned to transport coordinators and their managers.
